MEET THE BRIDE
Nikki Westcott
Nikki Westcott is a creative director, content creator, and co-founder of cult Australian fashion label JGR&STN. Known for her effortlessly cool aesthetic and sun-drenched storytelling, Nikki has built a loyal following both online and through her bold, unapologetic designs. Her world blends laid-back luxury with a love for vintage glamour. a style that translated beautifully into her wedding day.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Nikki about her special day, from the romantic proposal in Mallorca to the magic of her Byron Bay celebration, and were so honoured to be part of her bridal look with a pair of Christie Nicolaides earrings she chose for the occasion.
How It All Began
It began with a music festival and ended with a Mediterranean-inspired “I do”, and in between, a love story that unfolded quietly, beautifully, and entirely on its own terms.
Long before Nikki was a bride, she was a guest at a music festival run by the man who would one day become her husband. He had flown her and her friends up to help promote the event. What followed wasn’t a whirlwind romance, but something slower and perhaps even more profound, a three-year friendship that gently evolved into love.
"Although an unusual feeling to navigate from friends to lovers it was actually so nice to have a friendship foundation to begin with" Nikki shares.

The Proposal
Their proposal was just as thoughtful. While traveling through Europe, her partner carried the engagement ring in his pocket for three weeks, waiting for a moment that felt perfect. That moment arrived in Mallorca, the dreamy Spanish island Nikki had been most excited to visit.
She had the idea to hike to a remote beach at sunrise for a picnic with two friends, unknowingly setting the stage for her own engagement. “He always says I walked into my own proposal,” she laughs. As the sky turned golden and the waves lapped at the shore, he paced nervously before dropping to one knee, and asked the question. It was an immediate yes!
The Finer Details
From there, the vision for the wedding began to take shape: romantic, a little nostalgic, and completely personal. The venue was the Byron Bay home of artist Jai Vasicek, a dear friend of the couple. Years earlier, they had shared a bottle of wine in the bare backyard during the early stages of renovation. “We said to each other, this place is special,” Nikki recalls. "When the time came to choose the venue it was a no brainer for us, and we were so lucky that Jai said yes".
The aesthetic was effortlessly elegant, with a vintage undercurrent that felt true to Nikki’s personal style. She surprised herself by saying yes to the very first dress she tried on. “I’m a very indecisive person,” she says, “I just picked things I loved.”
Her accessories came together closer to the date. Just a month before the wedding, she enlisted friend and stylist Fleur Egan for help. “My look had a vintage vibe to it so I wanted to ensure everything felt timeless,” Nikki explains. “She sent a few options over and the Christie Nicolaides earrings stood out to me! I wore my hair down so it was nice to have a more solid earring to pop through.”

The Wedding Day
That morning, slipping into her dress and jewelry for the first time, Nikki felt the weight of the moment in the most beautiful way. “I still say I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day,” she says. "I loved everything"
Of the many unforgettable moments, the Mediterranean styling, the emotional vows, the electric dance floor, one stands above the rest. "Walking down the aisle with my dad, and locking eyes with Oli for the first time is hard to top. We had 150 guests and it felt like it could have just been us two in that moment. It felt very intimate. I was laugh/crying the whole way down the aisle!"
Nikki’s advice to other brides? "Wear whatever you feel comfortable in and go with timeless pieces. And less is more".
From a sun-kissed proposal in Mallorca to a soulful celebration in Byron Bay, Nikki’s wedding was more than just a moment, it was a mood, a memory, and a masterclass in effortless, personal style.
