MEET THE BRIDE
Hannah Rabbitt
In the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany, surrounded by laughter, love, and a sea of bold florals, Hannah Rabbitt wed her partner Felix in a celebration that felt both timeless and joyfully her own. The day was warm, bold, and happy. Three words Hannah chose instinctively to describe her wedding style, and, as it turns out, her approach to life itself.
“Felix and I met through friends back when we were at uni,” Hannah recalls. “One night, two of his friends picked me up to go to a gathering — they were so late picking me up that I nearly left! Lucky I didn’t, because Felix was one of the people we picked up on the way.”
What began as a serendipitous car ride quickly became something deeper. They discovered they attended the same university, began spending more time together, and, as Hannah says, “the rest is history.”
The Proposal
Their proposal was a storybook moment wrapped in quiet intimacy. “It was such a beautiful surprise,” she says. “It was my birthday weekend, and we were away on the Mornington Peninsula. On the morning of my birthday, we went for a walk on the Sorrento back beach — blue sky, sun beaming — so magical.”
Felix handed her a birthday card that read ‘It’s what’s on the inside that counts.’ Inside a small coffee mug — a nod to their shared love of coffee — was the ring.

A Celebration Among the Hills of Tuscany
Hannah and Felix’s ceremony took place at Marchese Estate, a sprawling property nestled in Tuscany’s countryside. “We knew we wanted somewhere we could stay for a few nights, with gardens and spaces where we could celebrate on the big day,” Hannah says. “Marchese ticked all those boxes — and it did not disappoint.”
After the intimate Italian wedding, the celebrations continued back home with family gatherings in Brisbane and Melbourne, each one infused with warmth and familiarity.

A Dress with a Story
When it came to finding the dress, Hannah had a clear vision: “I wanted a dress that felt truly me. I adore a fun sleeve, so the second I saw the Christie Nicole Stella gown, I was sold.” She tried on many dresses — “I figured, I’m only doing this once!” — but nothing compared.
Because the gown carried such statement drama in its sleeves, Hannah chose to balance the look with one bold piece of jewellery. “I’ve known for years that when I got married, there would be Christie Nicolaides earrings in my ears,” she says.
She visited the Christie Nicolaides Brisbane boutique while home visiting family. “I knew I wanted pearls to match my shoes and a pop of colour, so the hot pink Amalita earrings were perfect. I also knew I’d get lots of wear out of these beyond the wedding.”
A Look That Felt Like Home
“Choose something that feels completely you,” Hannah advises other brides. “It’s a day to celebrate your love, so you want to feel like yourself.”
When she finally stepped into her full look — the gown, the Amalita earrings, the bouquet — she describes the moment as “surreal.” “I loved all the details and how they came together — all the planning was well worth it.”
